Welcome to my new blog and bookstore, Master Your Self-Confidence.
Hope you all are doing amazing.
First of all, I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Steve Daniels and I am super passionate about sharing my secrets on how I have become more and more self-confident throughout my life.
Join me on my life-long journey to self-confidence mastery. It will not be easy, but it will definitely be enjoyable as well as rewarding.
So, a little more about me:
As a teenager, I grew up being very insecure about myself and did not believe in myself nearly as much as I should have.
I didn’t have an opinion on anything and would always value others’ opinions over mine. I would always be concerned with others’ opinions of myself and would always try my best to please everyone.
At the age of 13, I was playing wall ball in PE class, and was in the middle of running to the wall when a basketball came flying into me from the other side of the indoor basketball court and punched me right in my nose.
At the time, I didn’t want to look like a wuss and go to the nurse to grab some ice for it, although it hurt really badly.
So instead, I decided to “tough it out” and continue playing the game.
My nose started swelling up bad, and before you know it, the injury to my nose became a permanent change on my face.
Since that point in my life and up until my early 20s, I was super self-conscious about myself and my self-esteem was low most of the time.
I would double- and sometimes even triple-check the mirror in front of me and wish I could have gone back in time and dodged that basketball.
I would say I have had to work hard to become more self-aware and self-confident due to my self-limiting beliefs.
Lesson number one:
Whatever happened in the past that continues to influence your self-esteem in a negative way… let it go. It’s not worth holding onto these thoughts because they will wear you down and keep you down if you continue to think these types of thoughts.
I strongly recommend you take some time out of your day to just relax, focus on the negative thoughts that have been consuming you, flush out them out of your mind, and replace them with new positive thoughts of yourself.
It’s time to view yourself in a brand new light.
I hope you enjoyed my first post on my new blog and hope that you will join me on this journey!
Cheers!
– Steve Daniels
